1. Starting from January 1, 2022, for all trademark registration certificates, a Notice of Obtaining Trademark Registration Certificate will be sent to registrants who submitted their applications in paper form. These registrants can log into the China Trademark online service system to obtain an electronic trademark registration certificate, using the web address and code provided by the notice. If the application was filed electronically, the registrant can log in to the China Trademark online service system to directly obtain the electronic trademark registration certificate. The electronic certificates may be viewed, downloaded, and printed. The CNIPA will no longer be issuing paper trademark registration certificates.
2. The transition period is from October 15, 2021 to December 31, 2021. During this period, for all trademark registration certificates, a Notice of Obtaining Trademark Registration Certificate will be sent to registrants who have submitted their application in paper form. These registrants may log into the China Trademark online service system to obtain an electronic certificate using the web address and code provided by the notice. At the same time, the CNIPA will continue issuing paper trademark registration certificates to these registrants. For trademark registrants whose applications were submitted electronically, the method of issuing certificates remains unchanged during this period.
