1.Patent
From January to November 2020, CNIPA received 1,403,000 invention patent applications and 470,000 invention patents were granted. By the end of November 2020, the number of valid invention patents had reached 3,010,000. Among them, the number of domestic invention patents (excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) was 2,168,000 and the number of invention patents per 10,000 people reached 15.5.

From January to November, CNIPA received 2,726,000 utility model patent applications and 2,152,000 utility model patents were granted. By the end of November 2020, the number of valid utility model patents had reached 6,788,000.

From January to November, CNIPA received 700,000 design patent applications and 672,000 design patents were granted. By the end of November 2020, the number of valid design patents had reached 2,156,000.

From January to November, 62,000 PCT applications were received by the Office, among which 57,000 are from domestic filings.

From January to November, 49,600 reexamination requests were accepted and 44,900 were concluded; 5,500 invalidation requests were accepted and 6,800 were concluded by the Office.

2.Trademarks
From January to November 2020, China received 8,409,000 trademark registration applications and 5,173,000 trademarks were registered. By the end of November 2020, the number of valid registered trademarks had reached 29,652,000.

From January to November, the Office received 120,000 trademark opposition requests and 132,000 were concluded.

From January to November, the Office received 6,933 international trademark applications from Chinese applicants.

From January to November, the Office received 327,000 review and adjudication requests and 325,000 were concluded.
